From Rome to Back Home: Insights from the Synod on Synodality

Kelly Paget | 14min

Exploring key takeaways from the XVI Ordinary Assembly of Bishops and what they mean for us back in Australia. How can young people engage with the Synodal Church. In the workshop I tell my story as a member of the synod - what it was like to be a lay person. I will then allow time for a small "Conversation in the Spirit" with the topic, "how can I listen to the Spirit and live out Baptismal calling?"

Kelly Paget has been engaged in ministry throughout her working career, particularly in the areas of Catholic education and youth ministry. Her current role as Chancellor in the Diocese of Broken Bay and Head of Mission, supports parishes and communities of faith to engage is in broader life of the Church. In 2023 Kelly was chosen by the Holy Father, Pope Francis to participate as a non-bishop member in the 16th General Synod of Bishops.
