Stephen has been a researcher with the National Centre for Pastoral Research since 2007, during which time he has worked concurrently as a researcher with the Christian Research Association. He has qualifications in theology and applied social research. Stephen recently completed his Doctorate of Ministry at Alphacrucis University College, investigating the effectiveness of sports chaplaincy in Australia. He is also an Honorary Research Fellow with Sports Chaplaincy Australia.
In this presentation, Stephen Reid discusses the growing phenomenon of sports chaplaincy in Australia, and the associated opportunities for evangelisation. He looks particularly at the work of Sports Chaplaincy Australia, and some of the insights gained during his own research into the important role of sports chaplains.
